Inspired by the quaint ski houses of the snowy north, this open layout project blends natural stone, steel, and warm wood accents with soothing shades of greys, blues, and purple, which were inspired by the beautiful hand knotted rugs.
Contemporary accents and clean edges blend with whispers of rustic life to keep from overburdening the space with dark tones. Pristine wood floors, paneled ceilings, textured wall coverings, and a floor-to-ceiling brick fireplace facade capture the essence of a ski lodge as large windows provide a picturesque view of the snowy paradise.
Divided into three split levels, the upper level is a cozy master loft that overlooks the living room and distant snow-capped mountain range.
There is no shortage of entertainment space thanks to the bar-top kitchen counter and 12-piece dining table on the main floor. A seed glass lighting pendant hangs over the table, bathing the living area in a soft glow.
Opting for modern over rugged, this project combines sleek furniture and metal railings for a subtle, minimalist statement that doesn’t detract from the space. The open living room layout creates the perfect seating arrangement for conversing with guests. Custom sofas and two velvet accent chairs provide the perfect pop of color; double coffee tables feature open airy bases that help to create levity and openness within the space.
On the ground floor, you’ll find a guest bedroom furnished with simple but elegant features, wood flooring, and harmonious blue and cream hues, all of which combine to create the perfect serene atmosphere. Brilliant lighting tops it off by doing the space justice, giving life to the assortment of colors and texture.
